AeroGain offset BTA mount
This BTA mount is compatible with the AeroGain Mono Arm rest. This version places the bottle offset behind the elbows, which is typically the aerodynamically optimal position for a bottle. Our measurements show that a bottle placed just behind the elbows can save the rider up to 6 W at 45 km/h.
With the change in Ironman and World Triathlon rules eliminating the possibility of having a bottle or water bladder down the front of the race suit, a similar aerodynamic gain can be obtained by raising the bottle so that it sits close to the chest, closing the otherwise empty area there. Depending on the rider, this can further improve aerodynamics and lead to total savings up to 10 W compared to having no BTA bottle.
The seamless mono arm rest design keeps the front-end cleaner that a dual arm rest setup, and serves as a platform to mount bottles in the most aerodynamic way possible.
The BTA mount comes in different heights and angles, and can be further customised to suit the rider.
